The R&D in topic "Optimization model of smart and secure energy grids building: innovative technologies of enterprises and regions ecologisation" (state registration number: 0119U100766) has three years of history and is performed under the supervision of Dr. Svitlana Kolosok at the laboratory of Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management.
By this time, one doctoral student (Kolosok S.), one Ph.D. student (Piven D.), eight undergraduates (Dekhtyarenko A., Grigorenko D., Vodotyka D., and Kucherenko P.) were involved in the R&D with work remuneration. As part of the research work, four students prepared their works for the All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers. And one thesis was awarded a second-degree diploma in Ukraine (Petrenko N. with the topic: "Application of the project approach to energy-efficient technologies," 2021). Considering the scientific achievements, Kotyuk R., a student majoring in "Management," was awarded an academic scholarship from the President of Ukraine for the first semester of the 2020/2021 academic year.

More than 140 participants of the Global Virtual Professional Development Program “Excellence in Teaching & Research” gained their certificates. This program is designed for Ph.D. students, researchers, junior lecturers & academics, faculty members, and graduates interested in a teaching or research career and developed jointly with Washington State University, initiated by Sumy State University. This program included nine intense interactive sessions and an independent study of participants for a final report.
